Sometimes life has a way of reminding us that putting ourselves first is not a selfish act but rather a necessity.
We sometimes get so busy that we forget about how essential the smallest things are. Simple things like making time for our own health, fitness, personal, and professional development become tasks instead of something we deem important. We are so mentally and physically drained at times from expectations at work, home, in our relationships that we start convincing ourselves that there’s no time or that those things aren’t important, they can be done later. Life has a way of telling us to slow down or that we are making poor decisions sometimes in ways we believe are drastic, but necessary.
Sometimes a wake up call is what we need to see that we’ve veered off the path and we must return to that path if we are going to be there for others and fill their cups…
How are you going to fill the cups of others if yours is empty?
I guess it’s time to refill. 🍵
